Welcome!
Frozenbullet.com was launched in December 2001 with the goal of developing and informing a base of supporters for winter biathlon in North America. During the three seasons that it operated as a news site, it attracted over 80,000 unique visits, over 70 percent of them from North America. What was amazing was that a site dedicated to the once obscure sport of biathlon attracted such a large following.
The culmination of three seasons of work ended when the World Cup came to the United States in 2004 with events held in Lake Placid and Fort Kent. Three hundred articles had been written since 2001, and from these articles, an American fan base reached the point where it was truly able to understand and appreciate the sport on U.S. soil. The mission was achieved.
Following the 2003/04 season, I decided that my ultimate goal was to become the best biathlete in the world by winning an Olympic medal. From my perspective, the responsibilities of being an athlete and journalist covering myself and my competitors at the same time would be conflicting. Frozenbullet.com, which at its peak became the most comprehensive English-language website for biathlon, was retired as a news site in June 2004.
Now the website serves as a medium for me as an athlete to represent my sport, my country, and my dream to the world. It is also a place for me to voice my opinion on the topic of healthy living. As a full-time athlete, I believe that I have the experience that could help the millions of Americans struggling with maintaining healthy lifestyles. Frozenbullet.com is also a place for me to post my stories from traveling and competing, encouraging others to go out on their own adventures.
The new mission of this website is entwined with my own personal goal, to pursue the limits. No American has ever won an Olympic medal in the sport of biathlon. That is the first limit that I am pursuing. Follow me on this journey, but more importantly, take some time to seek out your own pursuit to conquer.
